Q: What if we don’t have a group of twelve?
A: Contact us anyway! We’ll try to match you up with another group that is smaller than 12, or we’ll let our contact list know that there are openings for your weekend. Once you book a weekend, you are responsible for the full amount regardless of how many you have coming. Also, check out our hosted weekends.

Q: What are dining options for the weekend?
A: For a hosted weekend, we will provide your meals & you can just keep cropping. We can also provide you with meals for your rental weekend,  or we can make trays that can be heated up (ask for list & pricing). Otherwise, your group is welcome to bring meals for the weekend. The fully-equipped kitchen will have everything you need to prepare your meals. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, waffle maker, sandwich maker, crock pots (2), electric griddle, pots & pans, place settings, silverware & glassware, etc. There are also many options for dining out or ordering in. We have take-out menus and phone numbers available at the house.

Q: How about smoking and pets?
A. Smoking is not allowed inside the house or cropping room. You may smoke outside at the designated areas and discard your butts in the containers provided outside. We do not allow pets for the benefit of the house and your fellow guests.

Q: Do you have internet access?
A: Yes, we do have wireless internet access.

Q: What time is check-in and check-out?
A: Check-in is after 1:00 pm on Friday and check-out is before 5:00 pm on Sunday. Additional nights are available at a discounted rate. Please contact us if interested.

Q: Do you allow guests other than scrapbookers?
A:  Of course!  The Mohnton House was designed with scrapbookers in mind. However, the beautiful and spacious facility and tranquil setting make it a great place for artistic or crafting groups, business meetings, seminars, spiritual retreats, or family reunions. We welcome your non-crafting friends to Girls’ Getaways Weekends as well.  After all, no one wants to be left out of a girlfriends’ getaway weekend!  There are lots of outlets for shopping in Shillington & Wyomissing, Rockville Square, Tanger Outlets and Hershey Outlets are abouty 45 minutes away.

Q: What are the sleeping accommodations, and what about bedding/linens?
A: All three of the retreat houses have twin beds, so
everyone sleeps in their own comfortable bed.  You can decide the best arrangements for your group. Each bed is made up with fresh linens and pillows. Additionally each guest receives a set of soft bathroom towels for use during their visit.

Q: What about paper products?
A: Toilet tissue is provided. Paper towels, napkins and plastic wraps are not provided.

Q: What if it snows?

A: If roads are closed due to blizzard conditions, arrangements can be made to reschedule your visit. We want our guests to be safe and we want you to come back! However, if it’s just a normal snow fall, we will have our property clear & you will have off street parking.
Note: We are on the Snow Emergency Route so Wyomissing Road is cleared first & often.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A:  If you cancel your reservation:
– 90 or more days before your retreat date – you will receive a full refund of any money paid if a replacement group can be found. If not, your payment, less the deposit will be refunded.
– 89-30 days before your retreat date – if a replacement group can be found your payment, less the deposit, will be applied to a replacement date.
– 29-0 days before your retreat date – you will forfeit all payments made.
